Cast FAQ

Everything cast members ask us · how casting works, what we look for, the pay, and what happens if you're picked. If it's not here, message us any time 🙌

Applying to cast

How does casting work?

Apply once through this page · it takes about four minutes. We keep your profile on file, and when a shoot suits your look we reach out with the details. If it's a match, we book a quick casting call over Google Meet to say hi and talk it through.

Do I need acting experience?

No. We cast for personality and a natural feel on camera, not a CV. Just be yourself in your video and let it come through.

What are you looking for?

Real, warm, natural people who look at home in a restaurant or bar. Most roles are playing a server, a waiter, or a happy guest. Being comfortable on camera matters far more than being polished.

How long does the application take?

About four minutes. Have a short selfie video ready and you're most of the way there.

How will I know if I've been picked?

If a shoot suits you, we message you directly, usually within a few days of a casting call going out. If you don't hear straight away, you stay on file for the next one that fits.

What if I'm not picked this time?

You stay in our talent library and we're in touch the next time a shoot suits your look. It's never a no on you · the client just went a different direction 🙌

Do I need to be local to a city?

Apply anyway and tell us where you're based. We cast locally for each shoot, so we match you to the ones near you.

If you're cast

What happens once I'm cast?

We send you a release form to sign before the shoot day. It carries everything you need · the venue, your call time, the wardrobe brief, the fee and the terms. So there's nothing for you to prepare right now.

What do I need to bring or wear?

Nothing to sort at this stage. Once you're cast, your release form includes the wardrobe brief for that specific shoot · usually a couple of your own options to suit the venue. If the venue is providing anything branded, we'll ask for your sizes then.

Do you need my sizes?

Only once you're cast, and only if the venue is providing a branded item like a shirt or apron. We'll ask for them on your release form if so. Nothing needed at the application stage.

Do I have to sign a release form?

Yes, once you're cast and before the shoot day. It's a standard form covering the footage, your call time, wardrobe and the fee, and you'll be able to download a signed copy for your records.

Do I need to learn a script?

No long scripts to memorise. Sometimes we're recreating a trending audio or a specific moment, so the main thing is being comfortable improvising when needed and taking quick direction on the day. If there's a sound or a few key beats, we share them in your brief once you're cast · then you bring it to life naturally.

On a shoot day

How long is a typical shoot?

Most are a half day, around 3 to 4 hours. Your exact call and wrap times come with your booking once you're cast.

Is there food and drink on the day?

Best to eat before you arrive · we shoot quickly and keep the day as short as we can, so there's usually no lunch break during a shoot. We can sort a coffee, tea or a snack at the venue if you need one. Most shoots are only a couple of hours, but depending on your call time and how long the shoot runs it can vary · we'll flag it if it's a longer one.

Can I bring someone with me?

Not on set, we keep the crew tight. We'll happily share the final post once it's live so they can see you in it though.

After the shoot

Where will the video appear?

On the restaurant's Instagram and TikTok, and sometimes in paid ads or on in-venue screens. Your release form spells out the full scope before you sign.

When does it go live?

Usually within 2 to 3 weeks of the shoot. Keep an eye on the restaurant's Instagram and TikTok · that's where it drops, we don't send the link out individually. When you do share it, please share it appropriately · you're representing the restaurant, so anything you post should point back to them. The full terms are in your casting release form.

Can I share the final post?

You can share it to your story, we love that 🙌 What we do ask · please don't download it and re-upload it as your own feed post. You're portraying the restaurant, so the content should build their account, not pull the traction to a personal feed. Using it in a private showreel is completely fine. The full terms are in your casting release form.
