The seat

We install marketing systems into UK restaurant groups and run them on software we built ourselves. You work directly under our Senior Marketing Operations Lead and take the build and delivery work off his desk: landing pages, automations, newsletters, campaign builds and the ad hoc requests that keep twelve clients moving.

What the work actually is

Seven things that came through this desk in the last month. Client names, links and logins removed, nothing else changed. If most of these read as a good day rather than a bad one, apply.

  1. 1A pre-theatre offer launches Friday. Build the landing page, give it its own booking link and tracking, and click every button yourself on a phone before you say it is live.
  2. 2Six DM automation flows for a seven-site brand are built and switched off. Localise each one to the right site, switch them on and test-message every trigger.
  3. 3A client wants a monthly newsletter in their own voice. Write it from their brief and last three sends, schedule it, and check it lands in an inbox rather than a spam folder.
  4. 4A paused DM flow is carrying a different client's booking link. Find out how, confirm nothing was sent, and check every other flow for the same mistake.
  5. 5A campaign needs two statics and three reels by Thursday and the brief is in three WhatsApp messages. Turn it into one brief the editors can build from, with a due date on each piece.
  6. 6A client owes us their ad account access for the third week. Chase it politely, log it so nobody asks twice, and say plainly what it is blocking.
  7. 7Set up a paid campaign from an agreed brief, then report what it returned in covers, not clicks.

The core role

  • Build and ship campaign assets end to end: landing pages, booking links, DM automations, newsletters and paid ad set-ups.
  • Clear the ad hoc queue for each client quickly and properly, testing everything before you call it done.
  • Keep each client's task list honest: what is done, what is in progress, and what is waiting on the client.

What you'll do

  • Stand up a campaign landing page with its own booking link and tracking, then test every button yourself.
  • Build and localise ManyChat flows for a multi-site client, switch them on and test-message every trigger.
  • Write and schedule newsletters in the client's own voice from their brief and past sends.
  • Set up paid campaigns from an agreed brief and report what they returned.
  • Chase the access and information clients owe us, politely and persistently, and log it so nothing is asked twice.

How we work

  • Remote, async-friendly, with at least four hours a day overlapping UK working hours.
  • You report to the Senior Marketing Operations Lead and work alongside the founder and the creative team.
  • Every task has a time frame. You say early when one is at risk rather than late when it has slipped.

Inside the setup

  • Slate · our own platform (Next.js, Supabase) running scheduling, tasks, client portals, campaigns and finance
  • Frame.io for content review, Buffer for publishing, ManyChat for DM automations, Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, WhatsApp groups with every client
  • AI in daily production: Claude and agents across operations, captions, research and campaign builds
  • Small senior team: founder, Creative Director, Senior Marketing Operations Lead, lead editor and a freelance editing team

The ideal person

  • Two or more years doing hands-on marketing operations, growth or automation work for an agency or a multi-site brand.
  • You have built landing pages, automations and email flows that real customers used, and can show us.
  • Comfortable with AI tools as part of the job, and careful enough to check what they produce.
  • You report things as done because you watched them work, not because you finished them.

Read this bit twice

We would rather you closed this tab than spent twenty minutes on the form and a fortnight finding out. This seat is not for you if:

  • You need a defined process before you can start. For most of this work there isn't one yet.
  • You would rather plan than build. This seat ships things every day.
  • You report things as done because you finished them, rather than because you watched them work.
  • You cannot overlap UK working hours by at least four hours a day.

How hiring runs here

  1. 1

    Apply

This form. About 20 minutes, longer than most on purpose · it is the first part of the job.

  2. 2

    We read it properly

Every application gets read. Strong ones hear back inside a few days, and we tell you either way.

  3. 3

    One short call

Twenty minutes with the Senior Marketing Operations Lead, who you would report to.

  4. 4

    Paid trial

One to two weeks on real client work, paid. You do the actual job and we both decide from there.

You are the pair of hands that turns a campaign idea into something live, tracked and working, fast, so the team can take on more clients without anything slipping.

The facts we filter on first

Money, geography and availability up front. If we are not in the same range we would both rather know now than after a call.

A clear photo of your face. A normal phone photo is fine, it just means we can put a face to the name.
Hours a day you can overlap 09:00 to 17:00 UK*
Be honest · this is about client escalations and founder contact, not about where you live.
Notice period*
Optional · a date helps us plan.
We pay one rate for the seat and adjust for local cost of living, so where you are does not rule you out. Give us the number you would actually accept, not your dream number.
